Pink Beach, Beach that you must visit on the komodo island

As an archipelagic country, Indonesia is very rich with coastal attractions. From Sabang at the west end to Merauke at the east end of the beach stretch is not measurable. White and black sand decorates along a vast stretch of beach. But there is one more interesting beach in the country, a beach with pink sand with stunning underwater charm.

Pink beach, this beach is located on the island of Komodo. Because Komodo Island is included in the National Park area, to enter it must also get a permit first. Managing permits can be done at Loh Liang. It is not difficult to take care of the permits, the contents of the personal data form continue to be signed and permission to enter the national park area is in the hands.

The pink color from the sand of the beach itself comes from a natural process. Red coral flakes, shells, calcium carbonate, small marine invertebrates, porifera or sea sponges that mix and form unique color compositions which when seen pink stand out along this coast. For those of you who don't want to find complicated accommodation you can rent LOB (Live Aboard) ships that you can find in Labuhan Bajo, this ship will take you along the beauty of the islands here. By renting this boat, it is guaranteed to be the most exciting experience you have ever tried, just imagine staying on a boat while circling the beauty that is here, guaranteed an experience that is hard to forget right?

Activities

The Pink Beach which is uninhabited and deserted keeps the natural wildlife of the beach awake. On this beach there are hills extending from the end of the beach to the other end so that it adds to the beauty of this beach. Being on a beautiful, calm and amazing beach is an ideal place for relaxation. The color of turquoise and very clear sea water should not be missed. In addition, the corals in the sea can be seen with direct eyes. Snorkeling and diving are mandatory activities here considering the condition of the underwater park which is still maintained and the abundance of colorful biodiversity: thousands of species of fish, hundreds of coral reefs and others.

Get there

Indeed, Pink beach is still on the island of Komodo. To achieve this, tourists usually use the sea route. But we can also take a road ranger from Loh Liang. Unfortunately, we have to walk about three to four hours through the forest, the Komodo dragon's habitat can only arrive at the spot pink beach. Whereas if we go by sea, we only need about 30 minutes from Liang Loh.

All ships docked to Pink Beach are not permitted to throw anchors. This is applied to protect the corals that are around the coast. Some of the moorings made of rope have been provided to anchor the ship a bit mid-ocean, so to get to the beach we are picked up by a small boat which is deliberately brought by each ship. So if the boat we are riding does not have a small boat facility, then we have to swim towards the beach.

Try to climb the two hills at each end of the beach. The natural panorama presented from the top of the hill is so perfect. The arid expanse of savanna, the blue sea, the blue sky, and the march of white clouds seemed to unite in a beautiful landscape. But because these hills are also still in the Komodo National Park area, we must also be aware of the presence of the ancient Dragon star.
